ALTANE est un lecteur et graveur de cartouches Game Boy qui peut vider le contenu de la ROM, écrire sur des cartouches flash et sauvegarder et restaurer des données de sauvegarde, y compris des sauvegardes de jeu ou des chansons LSDJ. Great device for backing up cartridge. Works for getting Gen 1 & 2 Pokemon into modern games.

After getting this device and setting up the software on my computer, it did what I wanted it to do. It can backup the cartridge and also save data on those cartridges to your PC. For those interested, I got this primarily to make a dream come true: to backup an old Pokemon save from my childhood and bring my old childhood Pokemon into the modern era. It works! This little device along with CFW and the Virtual Console releases of the old Pokemon games on the 3DS e-Shop allows you to be able to successfully transfer your old Pokemon from a cartridge save into modern Pokemon games. One thing to note that's important to get this to work: the USB cable MUST be one that can transfer data through it. Not all USB cables have this feature, so check yours to see if it can. While there was a bit of a weird situation that occurred due to customs delaying the shipment while it was traveling from Canada to my home in the US, Retro Modding's customer service was very helpful in resolving the situation. In the end it was all worth it to experience a dream come true.
