Very stiff

The buttons are nice and clicky but very stiff, they are pretty unpleasant to use. If you play any games that rely heavily on the shoulder buttons they can get to be fatiguing.

Wasnt expecting a perfect fit since they are aftermarket buttons but it was a worse fit than expected had to bend tabs to fit and still snug going back in shell that being said buttons work good once i was able to fit everything back together

Awesome product but beware

Great product work very well. If you are buying this for the original game boy advance the body of the switch is smaller than the OEM switch and the button for the switch is a little taller and you may need to hollow out you shoulder buttons an eighth of an inch or so. But customizations aside I have these in my GBA and they work like a charm.

Didn't fit GBA

Soldering skills are above average. But the shell would fully close but the triggers wouldn't push down. They appeared to be a different design then the OEM ones. Had to resolder the OEM triggers . Part did seem high quality but didn't fit

Threw in some extra freebies too, everything as described

Very clicky but the sanding down part sucks but no big deal

Works great!!! I have to redo the left trigger as I must of trimmed too short…. But the right trigger is working flawlessly… thank you for having this replacement part!!!

You would think something made for a GBA specifically would fit properly. As mentioned on the site, you have to trim the blue part of the switch to fit under the trigger. HOWEVER, it's not stated that you have to also bend the metal bracket so that it fits in the bottom holes of the PCB. I also had to trim the inside of the shell so that the PCB would fit back with these triggers installed.

Love the clicks!!!!

These are great, but you need to get them straight on the board when installing or your buttons might have issues. I filled the side of the buttons and reflowed the solder to finally get it to function properly! Happy with the results!!! A great upgrade from the stock buttons!!!

they are perfect.
surely you need to make them lower with a file but that gives each person the possibility to adjust them to their favourite style.
Now the experience changes a lot

Good feel, less than ideal fit

Installation is about what you would expect. Desoldering the old switch is kind of a pain, but not bad. Issues arise when you try to mate the shell halves together. I had a hard time getting my buttons to actuate properly in addition to getting significant gaps around the shell halves. Now, I think most of these issues were because of the shell, but these buttons are definitely a bit too tall. I cut out material from the buttons, but you could sand the tops of the buttons, too. But once you get fit correct they feel really nice.

Works Amazing!

Definitely got to know what you are doing when it comes to soldering and modding the gba shell! Love the new buttons!

Works well but needs trimming!

Great triggers for the GBA but this will require some trimming to the since they are a bit long.

Awesome aftermarket switches with some modding

The switches work great and feel so much better than factory. The only caveat was that you have to sand down the blue plastic piece so it will fit under the shoulder button. I found that if you sand until you see metal starting to show underneath you've gone far enough. I also had to trim a bit of plastic from the shell to accomodate the new switches as they were pretty tight in the shell otherwise.

Amazing feel

Just finished adding these to my gba. They feel amazing. Also reduces the travel time of the triggers by a lot. Would definitely buy again.

Did not fit, too long

After removing my original ones and soldering these to the board I realized that they were longer and did not fit. Had to unsolder them and reinstall the original ones. Do not recommend.

Works/feels great; needs trimming

Getting the old switches off was the worst part of this mod; takes some patience. The new switches needed a little bit of trimming to fit with aftermarket shoulder buttons, but that was easy enough. The feel of these switches is a massive upgrade from OEM.

Switches feel great

Bought these to replace faulty original triggers. They work great, but like others have mentioned, it's tricky to get them flush with the board, requiring extra trimming to get it all to fit together nicely. They work great once installed though.

Great replacements

These replacement buttons work great, however I did have some trouble installing them and had to bend the lower pins out a bit to actually get through the holes to solder it in properly. Without bending the pins a bit the L button wound up soldered in a bit awkwardly causing me to have to trim the front shell of my GBA. If not for this minor issue then I'd give these a full 5 stars.

I did need to trim the buttons themselves down a bit as well, but that was no big deal as I already had the needed tools to do so.

Massive upgrade in feel

These feel excellent and really improve upon the squishy feeling of the stock buttons. Word of warning, Make sure you have these new ones set flush up to the PCB or it will be tough to fit into your shell. Also when installed, the buttons will not click when your GBA is put back together until you sand them sufficiently.if you sand too much, a little dab of superglue will build the height back up to be re-sanded

You should buy two, instead of just one tactile...

Since I haven't notice the description about the tactile, I accidentally just buy one... So, just in case, if you want a pair of tactiles, I would recommend you you buy it in two or more quantities!

Button too tall

The button is too tall, had to solder and desolder to adjust then reassemble my GBA to test the fit multiple times. Had to trim the top of one of them just to make it fit and the ones that were not trimmed are still a very tight fit. Other than that issue the quality is great and feels way better than the OEM buttons.

Better than OEM

Buttons are much clickier and satisfying to press. The only thing I don't like is that they are very loud when clicked. That might be a personal preference though. All in all, its a good replacement and I recommend it.

tactile feeling is great imo

It was a bit of a pain to remove the old parts, but the replacements feel sturdy and not cheap at all.
