Top notch quality and the best mod!

Couldn't for the life of me get these to work - they wouldn't go into the new shell I ordered. I ended up using the OEM hinges from the SP I was moving to the new shell. No worries, as they weren't expensive, and maybe it was user error.

The hinge dimensions are slightly different from OEM hinges, which can lead to compatibility issues. In particular, the right (white) hinge is slightly longer than OEM and did not fit properly into my shell. OEM hinges fit the shell just fine.

The hinges themselves feel fine and are relatively snappy. If they fit your shell, you'll probably be satisfied. I was disappointed that they didn't work for me however, and I wish the dimensions matched OEM to ensure compatibility.

I scoured youtube and reddit to see if I was putting them in wrong but they did not go in (I did make sure the "key" was lined up as well). I just reused my OEM hinges which actually fit like a glove in the IPS ready shell. Everything else I bought though was great so if you were to put together a kit I would skip the hinge purchase.

I recently modded my GBA SP with a lot of products off of here, and the hinges just wouldn't slide in or fit the shell I purchased at all. I tried changing one halfs position, as well as brute forcing them in in both positions, but they wouldn't fit at all on either side, and I didn't want to risk damaging the new shell since I was already putting in a LOT of pressure. I'm not sure if this was an issue with the hinges or from me, but I was able to get the original OEM hinges in with no issues at all. For now, these will sit in a box until I work on another one or someone else I know works on one

I heard that these weren’t supposed to be as good as the original parts. Maybe that’s true, but so far so good! No complaints here.

The hinges work as advertized, no complaints. Glad I was able to find replacements, as I was unable to retrieve the ones from my SP's original shell without damaging them.

lost my oem hinges when replacing the screw shell. lucky I found some for cheap. thanks guys

Hinges are adequate replacements. Still not quite as good as OEM hinges, but they get the job done. Much more available and affordable than finding a donor SP.

For rebuilds and replacements you really can't go wrong with these hinges! As long as you know what you're doing when you install them, you won't have an issue!

Bought the better feel ones and currently have no issues, the snap feels as good as OEM hinges.

These hinges are quite good. They have a nice snappy opening to them very similar to original hinges. The only thing i found was that closing snappiness almost doesnt exist. It's very small and almost unnoticeable. So if you want replacements these are a great option, however if you want better feeling hinges for closing use original hinges.

I was not prepared to salvage the hinges from my original shell, so I ordered this instead. They don't have quite the same caliber of *snap* when closing, but I'm not sure if I could tell if I didn't have the two shells side by side.

Gameboy Advance SP Hinges

These hinges look, installed and work great.

When modding my SP I broke one of the hinges when taking the shell apart, due to the gargantuan amount of force it takes to dislodge them. If nothing else these are good for peace of mind when changing out a shell.

It was my first time reassembling my broken game boy I watched videos online but some tips from you guys would’ve been great I’m sure you know lots about your product I had troubles with the screws on the case I bought it seemed like I stripped them and the case won’t hold as tightly as it should

They worked great! No problems putting them in and taking them out, will be buying more.
