Notes

    • OSD can be operated with touch sensors (no soldering required) or button presses (requires soldering).

    Documentation

    OSD Menu Activation:

    • Touch the two touchpads for 5 seconds to active the OSD menu.
    • Touch the left touchpad to select an option when OSD Menu activated.
    • Touch the right touchpad to adjust the option when OSD Menu activated.

    Warning

    • To test this display you will need to solder the wire!
    • We strongly recommend testing the display before installing it in your console. Please follow our Display Testing Guide to confirm the kit is working before the adhesive is secured, the display protection sheet removed, or any non-critical soldering to the ribbon or driver PCB. We are unable to accept returns or replacements on kits that have been installed in a console. Individual replacement parts may be available in the "Included" section above.
    • The ribbon is very fragile, be sure to handle it carefully to avoid damage.
    • Too much pressure can permanently damage the display, do not force the shell closed around the LCD. Ensure the shell is properly trimmed for the display before attempting to install it.

    The item works, but I've been noticing some malfunctions lately. I don't know what causes it, but I'll be playing a game and on my modded system and it'll unexpectedly reset.

    Great Screen

    Bought an original clear Gameboy Color from Japan. Was super excited to play with it, but found the original screen to be far too dim. This IPS screen fixed that, and now I play my Gameboy color all the time!

    I just dropped this LCD kit into my crusty old Game Boy Color and I think I can see into the fifth dimension. Before this, I was playing in the dark, tilting my screen at a 42.5-degree angle under a flickering streetlamp just to see a single pixel of Pikachu’s tail. Now? This screen is so bright it’s basically a miniature sun held together by plastic and nostalgia.

    The black screen didnt look like it was big enough so i just used the one that came with the case. But the actual screen has amazing lighting and is way better than what i was expecting.
