Brightness Options

AGS-101 Voltage Regulator: Provides the appropriate voltage and current to produce a brighter backlit image.

Brightness Control Options

AGS-101 Brightness Controller: Allows you to select one of 12 brightness levels from almost dark to maximum brightness through a pre-set button configuration

We map the trigger button to SELECT and the adjustment buttons to the up and down directions

Brightness Switch: Choose between 2 brightness settings using a physical switch inside the battery compartment

Brightness levels are 40% / 85% of the AGS-101's brightness without the voltage regulator or 40% / 100% with the voltage regulator
Please note that the brightness switch is not compatible with our battery pack since the switch sits in the battery compartment. Repeated removal of the battery pack can cause premature wear on the outer foil, leading to potential hazards

Provides up to 14 hours of continuous play
USB rechargeable battery
Can be trimmed to allow you to recharge your battery without having to remove the battery door
Can be trimmed for a LED pipe so you can keep an eye on the battery light without having to remove the battery door (not necessary on clear shells)

Notes

For best results, use lithium batteries, NiMH batteries, or our rechargeable battery pack
This unit comes with two authenticity stickers: a GBA sticker with a unique serial number and a 3D printed Retro Modding sticker
All units are tested prior to shipping
Cartridge slots are cleaned and tested prior to the unit being built and shipped. We strongly recommend carefully cleaning all carts using isopropyl alcohol before inserting them into your new unit in order to avoid dirtying the pins
Please keep in mind that the GBA always puts out a low-level hissing or high-pitched noise due to the GBA's hardware. An amplifier will make this noise louder. While most customers don't hear or mind the sound, those with sensitive hearing will probably be bothered by it and should avoid having an amplifier installed in their console. If you have any concerns, please contact us prior to purchasing. We will not issue refunds based on complaints about amplified hissing noises
Due to restrictions imposed by USPS, units with battery packs going to the United States can only be shipped via ground transportation, which may extend the time it takes for you to receive your order
Please note that battery packs are prohibited from being shipped into Germany. If you place an order for a custom console with a battery pack, the battery pack will be refunded and removed from your order. Unfortunately, this situation is out of our control. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause
Given the interest in our custom consoles, we ask that you please allow up to 8 weeks for your order to be created
