The GBxCart is a dream come true, it’s everything you could possibly want & expect from a cart flasher. Super fast & easy to dump or write any cart.

One thing I do wish was included with the price was any sort of protective casing for the PCB.

I used it mainly for the Game Boy Camera. It transfers the images without any quality downgrade. I didn't use it to back-up my game files yet, but once you have the proper software to run the GBxCart, it really isn't hard to figure out what to do.
The only downside if you ask me is the price, but hey we don't live in a world where things are free, so yeah you gotta pay what you gotta pay.

If I could give it more stars I would. My dad passed away when I was a kid and with this I was able to save his almost 30 year old Pokémon Red save file. It really means the world to me. Genuinely. He introduced me to all the nerd stuff I still love today. Great product, super easy to use. I 3D printed a case for it and I forsee getting a lot of use out of it

Worked without any hiccups! What got me to buy this was my copy of red randomly deleting itself. Sucked that I lost my data prior to me getting it but oh well, it’s just a game and it will get me to replay it. Was not going to let that happen to my 100% save of gold though, I would die lol. All that to say, works wonderfully.

The device itself is extremely slick in its little shell and works perfectly over USB-C on Windows and Steam OS. I was easily able to use the associated software to rip my entire library with no issues. I love the automatic verification and all the other QoL features - it feels so great to consolidate the games I own onto a single flash cart plus enable emulator play. I know the same bits could theoretically be sourced from the high seas, but it is a really fun exercise in game preservation and it feels different for some reason - these are the ones and zeros from MY childhood cartridge, plus all my saves! I was able to backup some extremely sentimental moments from my childhood and allow me to do repairs without fear. Using some patch data available online and the data ripped from a certain pinball cartridge I was even able to enable rumble on my EZ-Flash Omega which really feels like modern magic for this retro hardware. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Download the software and it's plug and go love the product and look forward to using it.

perfect for backing up my saved files from the old battery powered cartridges also very easy to upload a edited saved game back onto the cartridge & backed up the ROM files just incase the cartridges get lost or broken.

Does what it’s meant to do. Pretty easy to get the software setup and read game carts. Just have the instructions ready while you’re using it for the first time.

Loving this. I can actually back up my own carts. Works well with grabbing save data, as well.

The GBXCart RW was easy and fast to use. My only real hangups are software-side. There was no clear instruction what software to download, just a link to a folder with 7 different files in it. Spin the wheel and guess which one it is you're supposed to download. Then less of a complaint and more of a musing on the topic, but I wish the software could offer up a little bit more information on the flash carts it's reading. Obviously the OEM carts have no problems with them at all. The repro carts though, it wasn't able to correctly identify any of them when I cross-referenced flashcartdb.com. probably not a big deal since they're all just kind of the same cheap junk from different factories, but my curiosity will go unsated in that regard.

Some run-around about the address provided for shipping, otherwise a good experience & great product. Works as described so far.

Was able to backup my pokemon yellow save before i replaced the 24 year old battery. My save is safe for another 20+ years. Super intuitive program to use, makes it really simple to backup saves.

This thing will let my Pokémon team will live forever!

I love playing my old Gameboy carts on my Analogue Pocket. But sometimes that's not practical, so I also emulate on my phone. With this thing, I can play on one device, pull the save and transfer it from the other device. Not to mention being able to back them up. It's great!

Such a great little gadget! I’m not tech savvy at ALL, but downloaded everything I needed onto my MacBook was a snap, and using the device with the intuitive interface makes saving my roms and games easy as pie!
